A short side note to the idea of Jesus being like a bright shining light.
It occurs to me that somehow or other the light that Jesus is, is supposed to rub off on those who claim to be His. Jesus words were, "I am the light of the world..." (John 8:12).
In the sermon on the mount he claims that His followers are exactly that, "The light of the world." (Matthew 5:14). There is some sort of sameness there.
It maybe time to do some blogs along the lines of everything that Jesus is and which of those characteristics are His follower supposed to have.
It will definitely be a dark day if we ever have to say, "THE LIGHT HAS GONE OUT!"
